2009 Tally Awards

Voting for the fifth annual Tally Awards is underway! Voting for the 2009 Tally Awards began September 15, and will be open until midnight, December 15, 2009.

Tally Awards are awarded to the businesses that receive the highest number of votes for each category. The winners will be announced at The Tally Awards Gala on January 30, 2010.

This is the second year that Onyx Group has been an official sponsor of the event. “We are excited about our continued involvement with this event both in our capacity as sponsor and through the nominations we have received,” says Nadia Kamal, Agency Principal. In past years, Onyx Group has been awarded 3 Tally Awards.

In 2007, Onyx Group won in the professional services category of Best Web and Graphic Design. Then in 2008, Onyx Group won for the professional services categories of Best Web and Graphic Design and Best Marketing Firm. This year, Onyx Group is nominated for three categories: Best Web and Graphic Design and Best Marketing Firm. The third nomination is for the specialty category of Best Overall Business.

Onyx Wins At ADDYs

Onyx Group took home three awards Saturday night at AAF-Tallahassee's ADDYs, the advertising industry's largest and most representative creative competition, recognizing creative excellence and the very best advertising worldwide. The agency won a Gold ADDY for the design of Acadian Sea Planes' website, and two Silvers for the company's own collateral and stationery package.

"We are so excited! It feels great to be honored by our peers for all the hard work we did last year," said Agency Co-Principal Kris Carter. "To win three awards in our first time entering is thrilling!" To add to the excitement, these wins came less than a month after being named the people's choice for Best Web and Graphic Design and Best Marketing Firm at the 4th Annual Tally Awards.

Onyx Wins Big at Tally Awards

Onyx Group took home two awards at last weekend's 4th Annual Tally Awards. The agency was the people's choice for Best Marketing Firm and Best Web & Graphic Design. This was the second year in a row that the group was awarded Best Web & Graphic Design. "It's such an honor to be recognized two years in a row for Best Web & Graphic Design! And to win Best Marketing Firm as well - wow! Our thanks and love go out to everyone who voted for us. Thank you so much!" said Agency Co-Principal Nadia Kamal. Adding to the excitement for Onyx Group were the awards won by 5 of their clients: Gibbs & Culpepper Tree Service for Best Tree Service Company, Capital Training Resources for Best Professional Service, William W. Gwaltney for Best Law Practice, Aegis Computer Services for Best Computer Repair, and Barineau Heating and Air Conditioning, Inc. for Best Air Conditioning Company.
