What's nail art got to do with it?

Everyone needs a creative outlet, and for me it's my nails. It all began when I bought a beginner's nail art kit in March, and now I'm the proud owner of a collection of 49 nail polishes, 22 nail art stamping plates, and 6 nail art brushes. I'm even listed as the 3rd most frequent image poster in the #nailart thread on Twitter!

Since I began my internship at Onyx Group, I've been thinking that at the most basic level both nail art and branding are done in three steps: preparation, execution and revision. When I do my nails, I start with a base coat to make the polish last, then I get creative with color and design, and finally, I remove any polish that strayed outside the nail. Creating a brand begins with research to understand what the target needs and what will succeed, then building an identity that is original and appealing, and finally, revising in order to make sure the final product is flawless.

I should probably say that now I have two creative outlets: nail art and my internship at Onyx! Can you think of any cool designs I should try out? Follow @Sully_MM for my nail art pictures!
