On June 9th, Nadia will be speaking for the University Center Club’s “Appetite for Learning” series. The topic of her presentation will be “Social Media and Integrated Marketing.” Please note that this event is for University Center Club members only. Onyx Group is excited to announce new summer intern Sarah Santilli. The senior Information Technology major at Florida State is ready to hone her skills for the next three months in graphic design, branding, and business strategy here at the Onyx Group.
Originally from Palm Beach, Florida, Sarah is an avid scuba diver, enjoys going to Seminole football, baseball, and basketball games, and likes to think of herself as a restaurant connoisseur.

Atlanta, Georgia, May 13th, 2009 – This week Nadia Kamal and Matt Meinrod traveled north to Atlanta, Georgia to continue Onyx Group’s southeastern expansion. The visit marks Onyx Group’s first trip to the Peach State which resulted in a huge success. Onyx Group is now a member of both the Metro Atlanta Chamber and Atlanta Sports Council.
“The past two days in Atlanta were fantastic. Everyone we met on the visit was extremely friendly and welcoming. I’m very confident Onyx Group is going to find success here,” Matt Meinrod, Regional Business Developer.

The Onyx Group is continuing their expansion throughout the state of Florida. Most recently the dynamic group from Tallahassee joined the Orlando Regional Chamber of Commerce on their visit two weeks ago. Staying up to date with events and connecting with the community and its businesses is our goal. Orlando offers many great opportunities and is the next step for Onyx Group’s growth.

Onyx Group will be participating in the 2009 Big Bend Start! Heart Walk this October. We have pledged to raise $2,500 for the American Heart Association and we need your help!
Heart related health issues have touched most of our lives in one way or another: heart disease and stroke are the nations number 1 and number 3 killers respectively. You can do your part to fight heart disease by donating your time or money to Onyx Group. In January 2008, the Centers for Disease Center (CDC) release new mortality data which shows that, since 1999, coronary heart disease and stroke age-adjusted death rates are down by 25.8 percent and 24.4 percent, respectively. This means that the American Heart Association’s 2010 strategic goal for reducing deaths from coronary heart disease has been achieved, and for stoke nearly achieved – well ahead of schedule. A new impact goal for 2020 is already being developed.
